INSTALLATION

Installation is quick and easy. We tried to make this product as user friendly as possible. Installation is only four easy steps. We realize there are multiple different styles of hooks and swivels, so some baseplates may need to be offset to accommodate different styles which we will demonstrate in these instructions

Person using a cordless drill to install a hook cover base to the textured ceiling.

Step one:

Using your base as a template and a 5/32” drill bit, drill a pilot hole in the sheetrock. Then using a 13/64” drill bit make the hole bigger to accommodate the sheetrock anchor. Finally insert sheetrock anchor.

Note: If installing screws directly into the same wood that your hook is mounted into, sheetrock anchors are not necessary and you can start at step two.

Step two:

Hold your baseplate back up to the ceiling and line up the holes. Insert the screws through the holes in the baseplate and into the sheetrock anchors. Tighten firmly.

Note: If not using the sheetrock anchors, then line the holes of the baseplate up with the wood that your hook is mounted into and just run the screws through the sheetrock and into the wood. Above are two different mounting styles for different styles of hooks and swivels. Notice that the eye bolt style mounts is in the center of the baseplate, while the swivel pictured is set off to one side. This is to accommodate the length of the swivel.

Eyebolt style. Eyebolt style hooks can be mounted in any location within the base. In this picture the eyebolt is mounted in the center of our 5” by 1.5” cover.

This is the swivel style hook. This hook requires our 5.5” by 1.5” cover. Note that the swivel for this size has to be mounted off towards one side. This is to accommodate for the depth of the swivel. You can order a size that can have your swivel hook in the middle as well.
